If the starter is engaging against a locked up rotating device it might could should be more of a heavy clunk/clank than a click. All angry pixie parts being squared away anyway. High amps, as in locked rotor. I have removed and cleaned all cables and wires in the start circuit (including the ground) just out of habit when running into start problems. TBH, I do not quite grok how I am getting ZERO motion. It just doesn't computer unless a cylinder is full of a liquid, and I haven't recovered enough to go digging around in there yet. And Mr Traut, I am very grateful for the offer. I will give you a call for a hand if I can overcome my world champion level stubbornness. Of course you're welcome over for a beer or tea and a visit any time.

Second, a second thank you to Dreadi. This is one of the reasons I like it here. Third... Find yourself a throwaway treadmill. Attach sandpaper to the belt of said treadmill. I will leave it to you to figure out how to do that. Viola! You now have a way to flatten those rocker boxes without spending hundreds of dollars...

Stained and sealed the deck, and finally got around to putting in screens for the vent holes in the attic to keep the birds from flying in there. Installing a new garage door opener tomorrow.
