A dremel/rotary tool with a small cutoff wheel would work
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk they have them at home depot Milwaukie makes them that go to 1 1/8 IIRc Electrical supply house may have larger. Probably around a $50 investment for nice clean, easily madee holes.

Probably around a $50 investment for nice clean, easily madee holes. His hole needs to be over 2" I had to put another hole in the dash of my peterbilt for a gauge a few months ago. The spec said 2-1/16", I have a 2" saw with enough wobble that it worked just fine. THe dash is ~1/8" thick aluminum. Trailer skins are much thinner. A hole saw might work but I'd be worried it would mess it up. Better to go slow with a rotary tool and get it right.

The non-Haiku: 10mm through a 5" barrel going 1400fps from 20 yards will rip a 2" hole in thin metal easily.

The pin router bit for the win. It will make a clean hole on thin Aluminum.

I broke down, and bought a Milwaukee 3" hole saw for about $20. Pics of the project to follow.

You should check out Expedition Portal. It's an overlanding/camping/offroading forum but they have a lot of great information on trailers, campers, vans, etc. Trailer forum - https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/ ... ailers.42/Campers/Vans - https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/ ... cation.76/A lot of the info and guides can be used interchangeably.

Back in November I bought a 6 gun "SecureIt" kit for my safe on clearance, and figured out it wouldn't really fit my safe right. I was planning on returning it for a refund, but I kind of spaced it out. Fast forward three months, and for some reason it all of a sudden hit me......... Install it in the freakin camper you dumb ass! I'm not going to put a safe in there, so why not have a great rifle/AR pistol type gun mount? Duh! Retail is about $160, but I got it for about $100. https://www.secureitgunstorage.com/prod ... t-rapid-6/

GS you are a little behind the curve. I bought a hole cutter. "I broke down, and bought a Milwaukee 3" hole saw for about $20."
