So, Milwuakee redesigned one of their impact guns, and the design is shit... despite only being on the market for a very short amount of time, some people are going through 5 or 6 of these just doing basic shit like removing lug nuts on a car.. .well below its rated torque.

Instead of blaming the customer or outright ignoring the issue like so many large companies do, they acknowledged the issue, promised to go back to the old design, and are recalling/replacing all of the impacted models (hehe, pun intended).

Going back to H96A planetary design and eliminating the H96B redesign.

Thanks. Video WAY too long.

I only have their M12 stuff (I use DeWalt for 20V). Good on Milwaukee. I bet they are updating their testing protocol!

I got a bunch of their stuff. Only need 1 more 12v piece. Looking at several more 18v. It's good to see them be big enough to be humble. All the more reason to keep investing in their products.

I have been a fan ever since they refused to play the 20V game. There is ZERO difference between 18V and 20V, they use same 3.xV lithium cells. 20V is the max V rating, basically just like a fully charged car battery reads 14V. But nobody tries to sell 14V vehicle batteries.... The other companies just wanted to be able to change the battery interface design and force everyone to buy new tools.
Besides, our company colors are black and red, so having our shop outfitted with Milwaukee (and SnapOn) tools looks slick, LOL.

Whew! Good thing I only buy Harbor Freight power tools! Bauer Baby! Hahaha. I literally have 3 of the same angle grinder just so I dont have to swap discs. $25 per tool on the return rack. I did have a drill burn up on me, but I threw it in the freezer, and the melted plastic must have solidified right as it works fine now :)

You are not a real harbor freight believer until you use their floor jack and jack stands under your 3/4 ton truck.

For myself, I wouldn’t buy anything more complex than shop rags from harbor freight

Hahaha, yea, the chinese cast steel is pretty dicey. I used HF jacksyands on my F250 and literally watched them bend.
