I replaced 3 brass tubed spa heaters in 11 years due to the corrosion of the chlorine. Not cheap....$4k a whack! I was anal about my numbers regarding chemical levels for the spa too, but they all failed until I went commercial nickel plated heater. The pool will be sanitized by a natural version of chlorine derived from rock salt (sodium chloride). Electrolysis converts the sodium chloride into sodium and a natural version of chlorine, which is said to be better than the industrial stuff, easier on skin, hair and clothes. Salt water pool water is soft, like swimming in the ocean except 1/10th the salinity. The salinity will be a little less than a human tear As for the heater element, it won't be a problem as I am not installing an electric heater. I may install a solar heater. The swimming season is late March to mid-November, I don't need to swim in the winter, so no need to heat the water. Ah yes. I got about 100 feet of 30amp extension. Comes from a long history of Mooch camping. Mooch Camping.... Yeah, he didn't mention that circuit you suggested. Looks like 100 feet will reach.

more progress on the wall. We need to get it to the 5ft level to pass the final inspection, then we will put the last two rows on. They are performing a pressure test on the plumbing today

you guys have your fun, meanwhile I am sweating my balls off trying to get this project completed... So we failed our inspection the other day because the contractor had not built a fence around the pool, preventing any chillins from drowning. Happens all the time, I know, but I ain't got no chillins. So we put up a chain link fence. but that ain't good enough, you gotta make sure those little monkeys can't climb the fence (they can climb a 5ft fence, but yet they can't swim???)

Out of curiousity if your wall had been complete, would that have fulfilled the fence requirement? Fence is meant to keep random kids out or is it all kids and will you have to have one up when kids are at the house?

You have to have a fence or wall, 5ft tall or taller, with no holes larger than 1 3/4" (which rules out standard chain link fence), also must have a self closing gate, that only opens outward and has a latch handle that is 54" above grade. Once the wall is done I need to build a custom gate, already have the chain link one figure out.....I should post that in the DIY section....
