Don't ever drill the hole for the yellow vent cap.... Right on the seam like that guy did.
Some people get by with it.
The factory puts the vent there because they use heat to make the hole.
But if you drill that seam, the chances are good that either you make a leak, by cracking that seam.... Or a leak will develop, via a crack in that seam, eventually.
Drill your hole on a solid portion of the can in that area.

I swapped out a few of those epa idiot spigots with strait spouts from rural king. They come with the little yellow vents and about have of mine leak. I used a Brad point bit to get a clean hole but they still leak

I've used these from TSC, no leaks yet, the cans will puff up like a balloon in the sun and hold pressure. Much better than the crap EPA stuff that leaks, spills and takes forever to poor.

+1 to this. And yeah, those little yellow vent caps are great. Sometimes you need the replacement nozzle too, but with others you don't (adding the vent lets some styles just pour straight through like a normal nozzle, instead of that glug glug glug slurping stuff.)

I have just gone to the racing style cans with the long spouts. You can empty the can in no time flat and the longer tube reduces any spillage from a full can when first starting to pour, especially in the ATV or UTX where it can be a little awkward.

Every bike shop you drive past should have multiple. Pick your color. Technically they're supposed to call them "fluid cans" but we all know what there for.
