Only the old hands call it Rectumseal. Traut has obviously been there and done that.

I'm kinda surprised they allow that solid gas line in the air spanning the gap between the house and greenhouse.
I would think that there would be earthquake rules about that.

Great job though!

Well, just like you and I need to strap our water heaters to the wall, this is Arisaka strapping his house to that greenhouse.

That mfer ain't going NOWHERE now.

The requirement is maximum of 8’ unsupported for 3/4” pipe. I spanned 6’ between the house and greenhouse.

Thanks for the kind words, Ray! Im glad I could be part of your project. Your excellent work truly made our lumber look great!

Its refreshing to watch a fella take on just about any job and do it well. Society has been lacking that good old fashioned "roll up your sleeves and getter done" kinda outlook. If ya don't know how, learn and try. I enjoy your build threads as they are always simple yet very well crafted projects that many people have gotten used to telling themselves "I couldn't do that". Way to "getter dun"! lol!

Along with good craftsman skills, I appreciate your taking to time to document the journey in an easy to follow manner with a nice conclusion.

Im sure your wife is a happy lady too! :cheers2:

Thank you Brad! Wife loves the cedar. She says it’s really pretty and smells very nice. Since she is in a good mood, I’m going to ask her if I can have around 20 cool cars and trucks parked around the house. Please tell me how you pulled that off!

She is culturally diverse. She likes it here on "the res", lol! Luckily she comes from a long line of truckers! Her mom and dad and grandpa are truckers and her moms side of the family are from Alaska. It's kinda like Alaska at our place, except there's no drunk natives on our res!

That greenhouse is a work of art

Funny thing about pressurizing the gas pipe: The regulator at the meter will vent all that extra pressure causing the meter to spin backwards*

I figured that one out when I ran pipe into the addition for a dryer "Why won't this F*er go past 2 PSI!?". Then I walked out to the meter and could hear the air coming out

Yep. I installed a ball valve where my new line branched off the house line. By shutting that valve off, I was able to isolate the pressure testing to just the new line. If you don’t do that, you have to cap off the new pipe in order to pressure test..
