So, when does that "Old enough to know better" shit kick in??? I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

No, he's just a pet. She got him when she was Junior at WSU. She was President of her Sorority and got permission from the national to have him live at the house. He spent his first year being fawned over by 80 Coeds, he just hunts petting.

Just a few thoughts. 1. Looks beautiful 2. Which direction is the ridge oriented? 3, Are you going to do shelving, lighting and heating/ cooling ( other than a fan and shade)? 4. Might want to extend the rafters on one side for a cold frame 5. Add gutters to collect rain water to a barrel for irrigation with sump pump 6, Drip sprinkler system and misters with timers 7. Refrigerator for beer 8. A hard countertop work area, sink 9. Nice adjustable rolling stools for planting, etc. 10. Wasp spray

The ridge runs east-west, to give the greenhouse a broadside southern exposure 3. Yes to all of the above. 30,000 BTU natural gas heater, two 12””,shutter fans, two motorized 16” vents, grow lights, thermostat, benches, potting bench, sinks, 120V outlets 4. I have some extra polycarbonate panels and will be building cold frames for early spring planting 5. It’s set up for gutters. Not sure if I will put them in or not. Also have two 55 gal plastic drums for water storage. Still kicking around the gutter issue. 6. My wife gets to water the plants 7. That’s a damn good idea! 8. Yep, potters bench with two stainless steel sinks. One with a faucet for water and one to hold potting soil. Craigslist freebies 9. Hadn’t thought of stools. That sounds like a good idea. 10. Always have wasp spray on-hand. Love that stuff.

Been held for materials for a while, but the stuff I needed showed up yesterday. So I finished the roof panels Since the panels are way to fragile to walk on, I had to figure out a way to get up there and drive all the screws. Took one half of an extension ladder and attached 4 foot 2x4 cross-pieces to the top and bottom to spread the load across three rafters. Padded the cross-pieces with scrap panel pieces and some rags. To keep the ladder from sliding off the roof, I erected some scaffolding All that’s left of the roof is the ridge cap. That’s tomorrow’s job. While I was waiting for materials, I got started on the electrical. Got a permit, and went to work extending a dedicated and GFI-protected 20A circuit from the garage to the greenhouse. Dug a trench, and laid in UF wire with pvc conduit at each end. Code is 12 inches down for this configuration. Brought the wire into the greenhouse at a 2-gang box on the left. To the right of the box is the on/off switch for the natural gas heater, the on/off switch for the vents/fans, and the thermostat for the vents/fans. I also wired in overhead led grow lights and a couple of outlets I added up all the loads for the heater, fans, lights and vent motors. Even if all these were used at the same time, which they will not be, it totaled 9 amps. With a 20A breaker, I have adequate capacity for a humidifier plugged onto the outlet, or other miscellaneous items. Still have some more wall panels to hang in the next day or two. Then I mount and wire the fans, vent motors and the gas heater. Then I run a gas line (another permit) to the heater and run the exhaust vent through the wall. Then the potting bench, sink and the benches for the plants.

Got all the exterior panels up. Weather tight now. Finished the electrical rough-in, and had the inspector by this morning to look it over. He gave me the thumbs up to trim everything out. Here is what it looks like now. Here are the motors that open up the vent louver Here are the ventilation fans The fans and vent motors are tied to a thermostat, and come on automatically if it gets too warm inside the greenhouse. The other thermostat is for the heater. HeAter was a pain to get up, with just one person. I came up with a hinged platform, and a pulley and rope, to raise up the heater Waiting for the gas line inspection and test before i hookup the heater to the gas line. Here is the sediment trap waiting to accept the incoming gas line While I’m waiting for the gas line inspection, I got started on the plant benches. The benches will go along both side walls and the back wall. For future growth, I will add a second tier of benches. All the benches will be covered in galvanized hardware cloth, with 1/2” x 1/2” mesh. Next up is finishing the benches, putting in a potting bench and sink, and firing up the heater.
