When I built mine, I found its just as important to cool it in the warmer months, as it is to heat it in the winter.
Mine would get up over 120 deg on a 80 deg day.
That was with gable vents similar to yours and a swamp cooler.
Had to add a tarp over the top and an AC unit to keep it reasonable.

I have two 12” fans to blow the hot air out, and two 16” vents to allow cooler air in. They are all on a thermostat. Also have a sliding glass door with a screen, that I could open. If that doesn’t cut it, I will get one of those mesh-like greenhouse covers to throw over the entire greenhouse. But I expect that the greenhouse will be emptied out in the summer and the plants moved outdoors. This greenhouse is for wintering over delicate plants, growing fresh food over the winter, and starting seeds for spring planting. I will also be building Some cold frames for the spring planting.

I grew peppers though the summer, and planted a late crop of tomatoes inside
With lighting I usually had tomatoes until February

Been working retired guy hours, but progress has been made.

Built a jig to assemble 13 trusses. Gisseted both sided of every joint with 1/2” pressure treated plywood. Here is the first rafter up

And here is how it evolved

Installed hurricane ties at the top and bottom plates. Overkill, but there they are

Have some blocking to put up tomorrow, and the decorative timber frame entrance arch.. Then I will start on installing the polycarbonate roof and walls

Hmm. At this point, it feels like you could go either way...?

Make good choices, Ray.

That thing is built like a Brick Shithouse Ray, well done! I love the rough sawn Cedar from OG too, that is going to make Mama very happy.
:thumbsup2:

Still chipping away at the greenhouse. Got the back overhang done

Image

The front overhang is a timber frame design and was damn heavy. Took a pulley to get the thing up

Installed my free Craigslist sliding glass door

Next job is to put of the polycarbonate roof and wall panels.
