Hi, on the chopping block is my 2000 Nissan Maxima. It's an extra car at our house that isn't being used often enough to justify keeping it, and we need our driveway space freed up.

I'm the 3rd owner. Has a clean WA title in my name.
3.0L V6 - VQ30DE solid built Nissan engine with timing chain (not belt).
Auto Trans, with overdrive.

Good:
*Has fresh synthetic 5w-30 oil change & Napa gold filter
*Tires are from Costco a few years ago, still have good tread
*4 wheel disc brakes, ABS
*Leather interior, bose factory surround system, digital hvac system, has good working A/C and heat blows hot
*It runs well, drives nicely, has plenty of power
*Cosmetically it's good overall, straight body, but has some character in places.
*Engine bay area is really clean.
*Have a thick file of repairs and maintenance records from over the years, and a Chilton repair manual.
*I bought it from an older family friend, who owned it since 2005, and have kept it mechanically maintained very well.
*236,700 miles on it, majority of these are highway miles from 1st owner.
*Has fog lights, moon/sunroof, electric adjustable seats, power mirrors.

Has some cons:
*Fuel gauge and Temp gauge work intermittently, often they read as fuel is "E" and low fuel light comes on and Temp needle is down on "C" Sometimes Fuel and Temp gauges work as normal, but often default to not working
*Interior carpet/floor matts could use a cleaning- looks like coffee or soda has spilled in a few places, soiled.
*Has some misc. scratches, a few scuffs dings & small dents here and there (mainly on passenger fender & bumper) paint chips on hood
*Leather on driver seat is worn in a few areas.
*Trunk weaterstripping had pooled up some water from sitting, causing a moisture leak in the trunk area causing a musty smell in car. I let the car air out and I cleaned the interior areas. Doesn't seem to leak anymore.
*Sometimes starter makes a tooth grinding noise when cranking over (this was supposedly fixed in one of the repairs)

Would be a good run around car for a new driver, or use as a backup car.

$1,500/obo.

Thanks Travis, yes that’s correct- the 3.0l Nissan motor is a solid build design. Puts out smooth power across the rpms.
