 Best place to go clamming

I am kinda new to the area and the clamming game. Where is a good place i can take the kids and score some clams?

Man just went yesterday.

We were staying on Whidbey Island and went to Double Bluff Beach. It was really low tide and we score quite a few clams.

But it really depends on what type of clams you want.

Dash Point Beach can be good but make sure you have you license as they routinely patrol this park.

I see a lot of people digging for Manila clams and butter clams at Tolmie State Park. They have oysters too.

Birch Bay State Park is loaded with Manila claims (and mussels!). They have other varieties of clams, too, but the Manila clams are the best.
