Been checking for Hermiston for weeks now. Not a one. But after the pedicure we walked into the Duvall Safeway and a bunch of nice Hermiston melons.
Had a big piece last night. It was good. It really reminded me of the real melons we got when I was a kid. Sweet, cold, rich juice density. Not the insipid mealy melons that are more commonly available.
Net win. But really all watermelon should be like this!

Well. Shit.
I have bought 2 this year and BOTH were absolute crap. I suspect chicanery. As in - EVERYONE slapping a "Hermiston" label on. Marketing in America. Imagine that.

Very intuitive. Both Safeway (Duvall) and QFC (Redmond Ridge) did indeed have 2-3 brands, all with HERMISTON on the labels................I was dubious but forked out the cash anyway. So what store(s)?

I've good luck at Winco ONLY when they sell just the one brand.
