SFTB is my top Blanton's, other than a specific SP from a bourbon group in Virginia which is one of my top 10 favorite whiskies. But you're in Japan, so you have the access to black and red! Kampai!

It's readily available here and very decently priced compared to the states.

My buddy came over from Naches yesterday and brought me a bunch of Rainier cherries that he picked off his trees. They’re amazing. Garnished some Old Fashioneds with them last night. And today I pitted a bunch and sealed them in jars with some Buffalo Trace. Added some simple syrup to one of the jars. Will let them marinate and report back. Attachment: 0080E1B0-6B42-4F20-B32B-A871B6EE9B83.jpeg Attachment: 8F563CA7-303D-4075-8FB8-8F114E66E438.jpeg I took pics but I hate that they always upload sideways from my iPhone and I’m too lazy to fix them tonight. So you’ll have to take my word that they’re as pretty as they are delicious. Edit: I got my lazy ass in gear. Here you go!

I've tried that before with good vodka.... waste of good vodka.... not much flavor makes it into the liquor and all the alcohol ends up in the cherries that now taste like shit. I wish you better luck.

Oh my. Let’s hope I have better luck! (Also, all vodka is a waste as far as my tastes go!)

Thinking back.... it was 20+years ago that I did it..... I pretty sure I made the huge mistake of NOT pitting the cherries ---- I didn't have a cherry pitter back then.... So that may have been the source of my failure. But as I recall - the vodka didn't taste all that good and the cherries tasted like alcohol. Hope your bourbon turns out better.

I’ll let you know. And the point is the boozy cherries to use as garnish.

So my wife won a bottle of gin. So I am asking what are some drinks using gin other than gin and tonic?
