Kids used to like those. I can't eat that stuff Might be better with a Johnsonville or Hillshire Farms cheddar brot. :) Yeah..........maybe a German Weisswurst or brat or even Italian sausage JOHNSONville sounds appropriate

I have nothing against a good corndog ---actually crave them once in a while just like a chilidog.... This was a worthy test for a $0.50 can of dough to use up some old dogs in the freezer --- hell, you can't even touch a bag of crappy hotdog buns for less than $2 right now... so it was worth it. Wasn't going to waste my Ballpark beef dogs on this dough yet.... don't think I'll waste anything else on them either now ---- except - I DO have an old pak of Lil'smokies in the freezer too - I may have to grab another tube or two for that - it could be good, and if not, I won't feel bad. Silly Steve.... you assume I own a rolling pin..... Again, at $0.50 cents a can - I don't feel bad about doubling up I'll resort to a beer bottle if needed if/when I deal with the Lil'smokies. I still think the crescent rolls beat the corndog wrap by a great margin..... Lite flaky vs heavy dense... Like I said - it was worth a $1 to try them out ---- now I know.

Just roll it out in whatever direction you need it stretched, and keep it as even in thickness as possible. Use a little flour if you need to, to keep it from sticking, but I suspect that won't be an issue.

I think I have a problem..... - Spoiler: show
Attachment: 20230103_123037.jpg
I just can't stop myself when I stop in at GO and they have them for 2/$1.... I was finding that they are really nice to have with smoked chicken and meatloaf and yes - even a steak to sop up the juices! Especially in the winter months here --- always nice to run the oven to warm up the kitchen. My Neighbor LOVES it when I toss him a roll when I smoke up whole chickens --- and I NEVER feel bad about it at that price!!! I'd never pay regular store price for them --- but at that price, they are cheaper than buying decent bread that keeps in the fridge. I'd be willing to pay $1 for the Hawaiians tho ---- those are really good! I need too make up some sausage gravy..... I also picked up a bunch of deli honey ham --- I have plans of rolling ham and cheese up in the crescents at some point too

From experience, Lil Smokies in Crescent Roll wrap are really good. If I can find it someday I'll post my grandmother's dough recipe for pizza, pigs in blankets etc.

Made up another casserole last week knowing I could make it better than the last one.... I was planning on using frozen mixed veggies, but I still had 1#+ of fresh green beans in the fridge, so I decided to use them up.... egg noodles on the bottom - 1.5# of smoked chicken breasts - cream of mushroom soup - can of mushrooms - slivered almonds - half an onion - 24oz of homemade broth - topped with stovetop stuffing... It 'expanded' much more than I thought it would --- didn't think I was going to get all the stuffing on the top.... Damn this 11X7" casserole - my only one - I've hade it for 25+ years and 'usually' works... I may have to go look for a real 13X9. Attachment: 20230104_172928.jpg Attachment: 20230104_174644.jpg Attachment: 20230104_174719.jpg Cooked it up.... Attachment: 20230104_191530.jpg Attachment: 20230104_200608.jpg Goddamn.... one tasty casserole!!!! It didn't hold together really well straight out of the oven, but after sitting in the fridge it stiffened up a bit. Reheats have been better than fresh out of the oven!!! This is what I was hoping for with the last one --- I was able to correct my mistakes that I made before --- and the smoke from the chicken and the broth really came thru

Looks tasty, JMB. And yeah, it's funny how leftovers are so often better than the original dish!

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmebYTto ... MTA2M2Y%3DSticky Honey Lemon Chicken. I added a tsp of brown sugar at the end to make it a tad sweeter. Came out perfect. There will be no leftovers. And yes, I wore my shirt while making this.

Lunch menu consisted of an omelette made of 3 eggs, left over taco meat, mexi cheese and baked beans to sweeten it up tad bit. Plus a side of peppered bacon end cuts and Lady Elberta Freestone peaches.
And its SUNNY out! Damn good day so far!!

I just scored this today.... I just couldn't resist when it was $1. Attachment: 20230128_155725.jpg I'm planning on put together a meatloaf soon and I thought 'how could you go wrong with parmesan bread crumbs?'. I usually stick with the plain ones --- wanting to try the italian, but this was a no brainer. Now I'm also thinking about some pork and chicken cutlets/fingers too! Hate to waste an egg for them --- but I'm thinking mayo would work well instead.
