Wow! You really did the WHOLE process! That's pretty cool.

How does the bacon and the rest of the pork taste? Different than your average store-bought?

Yea we did all, I figured why not ?
It's definitely different than store bought, very juicy and more flavor definitely.
Plus the kids loved every aspect of it as I had them involved in all of it with me.

Very cool! I'm just starting the same process, we got our first 2 American Guinea Hogs at the end of May. I've never butchered anything bigger than chickens and rabbits, did you find it easy to learn to get good cuts and a good yield from yours? I'll actually be trying my hand at butchering one of our lambs this fall as well, hope the learning curve isn't too bad!

It really wasnt that bad, the yield was pretty good.
Cutting off all the little bits and making them into sausage really helped
There are some really good videos out there and I bought a boning knife which really made a difference.
