Does anyone have any recommendations on resources for foraging in the PNW area? Commonly available wild plants, regions, seasons ect?

A paid personal guide or service would be a cool experience too.

Thanks,

There are guides that you can get Edible and Medicinal Plants of the West is one but you probably should take a basic taxonomy class at you local 4 year college.

I’ve got a couple good guides. A quick google search and I can’t identify the ones I have. Tomorrow I’ll pull them out and snap a pic for ya. They’re good, heavy laminated pages with great pics and info. Excellent for the field, and not too big to pack.

I’m sure I got them from a member here. Maybe Bulldog18…?

There are a few...

What are you foraging for, mushrooms, truffles, or ?

If shrooms...

And I don’t know about a class, but Adam is a great guy, with a wealth of knowledge...he’s at some of the Farmer’s Markets, and has a thriving business, both online, and at the Markets.
