This was a couple of meals actually. We stopped in Karato at a local fish market. The fishermen bring in their catch, you can buy live or cooked seafood prepared in various little booths, smails, eels, shark, whale, octopus and a multitude of fish. I have not seen whale or puffer fish till now, it's common enough but you just have to know where to go. The whale meat I thought would be a meatier taste maybe like tuna but it was actually really firm fishy meat. The puffer was just a standard white fish meat little to no tastes and nothing special to me atleast. I'm not a big sushi eater to begin with.
Last night I made dinner for my in-laws, Wagyu beans, corn and rice ofcourse. I pan friend the Wagyu first heating up the supplied fat then adding butter, from there garlic and thyme. The steak was coated in the chili coarse salt and cooked and a high heat for about 1 minute on each side. Everyone talks about A5 wagyu, yes it is delicious but for me you can only eat a small amount, I prefer A3. Also the A5 is around $30 per 100 grams, A3 was $15 per 100 grams.

Niiiiice. I still haven't had Wagyu . . . sounds like your A5 price is just slightly higher than our Costco price, though I have never actually seen it for sale myself. Whale meat costs a little more here. About ten years more.

Try business Costco in Lynnwood. Not sure what the grade is but they have some ridiculously marbled steaks marked Wagyu. It’s a pack of 2 normal to large looking steaks, $200.

I didn't mean to imply that I'm actually looking for it.

The steaks at Costco arnt real wagyu. I'm sure they are good but more than likely it's 50% Angus 50% wagyu. Wagyu just means Japanese cattle. It's always funny to see "wagyu burgers" in America, like you would ever take this meat and grind it up to burger lmao. It defeats the whole purpose.

Ehhhh, I'm not so sure that that's true... https://www.costco.com/beef.html?type-o ... attr-WagyuAnd yes, I can totally see having Wagyu burgers. Sure, the main steaks and roasts are too good to grind up, but as with any animal you're still going to have a lot of little pieces or less desirable cuts/organs that they can grind up for burgers.

Ah ok, I didn't know they imported it from Japan. My information came from places like snake River farms. https://www.snakeriverfarms.com/kobe-vs-wagyu

How did you like it? I don't mind it, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat it.

I heard acidfly and Madpick took some horse to the throat. Raw. They had to go to Japan to do it. Pretty fucked up. It’s on the dark web somewhere.
This is how rumors start.
