Wife allowed a new grill or 2. I will have to give up one of my Traeger 34's that I got for free though (going to a coworker) she wants the 340 for horse shows but ill use it for home meals usually. She allowed me to get the 2500 BFG! I might need to take a food handlers course to show that I'm willing to make money with this thing!

OH HELL YES!!!

I have the RT-680, which is discontinued at this point, but I've been very happy with it.

I'm sure you'll love these!

RT's are amazing. I have the 300 (an older discontinued model). That BFG-2500 is going to suck down a lot of pellets and take a bit to warm up. While it holds the more food than imaginable, it's also very inefficient for just doing a brisket or two.. Also, don't let my previous comment rain on your parade, I'm probably just letting some massive jealously show.

Reach out to Lamrith for pellets. The Lumberjack brand works amazing in the RT's.

The BFG won't get used too much. It comes with a free 340 which will become the daily user vs one my 2 current Traegers. I've been down to Lamrith a couple times before so I know him.

Are they that much better than the Treager? I hate mine. I got the elite thinking it would be great. Nope I was wrong..

I liked my 34's well enough. The recteqs will hold temps better and more consistently. I was pretty impressed with the smoke after the burn in at supersmoke and 225
