I saw the one with the airfryers, decided against it since I didn't want to run an extension cord out to where my griddle is.

Did up some Mexican meat the other night for tacos. We usually do something like this when camping, was awesome to do it at home! Carne Asada, Chicken, and a little bit of Chorizo.

I need to get mine out and use it. I've had it for a few months on an impulse buy when it was on sale but haven't done but one thing after seasoning it. tried to use it for cooking up some fajitas but they all stuck to it really badly and it was a pain to get clean. Think I didn't season it right or didn't have temp right when cooking?

Think I didn't season it right or didn't have temp right when cooking? My first few meals sucked. Stuck, tasted like the seasoning too much, over cooked.. The more you use it the better the seasoning is. Mine is well seasoned now, very little oil needed to keep things from sticking and easy to clean. It's never spotless, but it's clean.

Necro thread revival. I went to the store today to buy a 28" Blackstone griddle and left with a different brand. The competition offered a few things the Blackstone didn't for 1 dollar more, so i changed my mind. It had a lid, it had 3 burner's instead of 2, and it was portable. (minor hassles with that part, but still a nice feature) Yeah, i feel dirty for shopping there, (Walmart) but i brought it home and it's a very well built unit with a thick griddle. I did smash burgers 3 times today between seasonings, and i am very happy with it. (Wife twice, kid once) I see Fajita's, Philly Cheese steaks and a whole lot of other things soon, i have been thinking about getting one for some time now and i am really digging it. I see my smoker's taking a rest for awhile, it's been getting boring. Here's the unit, the price is great for what you get. quality. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Expert-Grill ... /768889699A Smash burger i made with it, i had to pry it out of the Wife's hand's to take the pic. Notice the finger imprints on the bun.

Nice! Hopefully you got the updated one with the better top. There was an issue with the way the top was formed and warping. Had something to do with the side drain and the way the heat wasn't transferring evenly across the top.

I hope i got the updated one too, though i never saw anything about a lid issue in reviews of it. The lid is pretty heavy gauge so we'll see.

It does have a 1 Year warranty so if it happens hopefully they will take care of it. I just measured the thickness of the sides, it's .160 or 5/32 Steel. Not sure if the cooking surface is thicker, but with the reinforcement on the bottom i sure don't see it warping.

Those reinforcing bars welded to the bottom are probably there to keep the surface from warping.
