I believe that is an Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator, but it could also be a nerf gun....

Sorry, hate to correct you, but that is the Q-32 model. Notice that it has no red stripes or yellow stars on it, both of which are on the Q-36.

The real scary part is the fact the news uses the word "arsenal" implying his collection is absurd.
Going by the implied determination of the news to classify how many weapons determine an arsenal, there are a rather extremely large percentage of the members here alone that they would call an fully armed Army....

An yet the day has come where it's safer to not divulge an talk about what weapons you may have, due to the possibility of being labeled a domestic terrorist by someone reading or hearing the conversation.....

This is quite scary but not entirely for the obvious reasons -

Yes, it appears a disaster may have been averted and if that's so, then thank God. The combination of the note, the school maps, and some weapons capable of disaster are not to be taken lightly. I would expect any of us to be investigated if we were found with that same unusual combination. It's not a crime, necessarily, but worthy of looking into.

Ironically, the most illegal item in that display is probably something everyone owns, that $4 oil can. It looks like he's got an attachment on the Mosin as others pointed out. The brass knuckles maybe coming in second as a misdemeanor. Kinda also shows the absurdity of our gun laws when those are the only seriously illegal items.

AK and 30 mags, no problem. But this here knuckle duster is a big no-no...

The oil can and paperweight brass knuckles, perhaps explainable depending. But... there is also the possible two pipe bombs, or what appear to be pipe bombs. That would possibly be his biggest legal problem. No justification for that.

The scary part as others have pointed out is the definition of "arsenal." I suspect most members here might take that amount to the range on a sunny Saturday.

A dozen guns, but only a couple capable of any real firepower. I saw an AK, shotgun, Mosin, and maybe 4 handguns. The rest looked like novelties or single action. A couple of decent blades, but hard to tell. Maybe a Kabar, Ghurka, and a CS Gladiator short sword. The bulk of the rest looked like junk knives, a toy bow and a toy crossbow, and so forth. Sure, he could absolutely be a threat, but the term "arsenal" is inappropriate by any standard.

Ballpark on that collection might be a five grand, with the Desert Eagles being the most expensive from the appearance.
