Here we go for the Third time this summer and possibly the last of the season ? The location should be obvious by now but just in case here is our starting point 70 pit

https://goo.gl/maps/dcfZqd9dxKM2
47.121117, -121.530667

and to finish the clean and start the shoot;forest clearing FS7013

https://goo.gl/maps/poczgZ5VTpT2
47.116861, -121.586500

The meet time will be at 10am sept-16 at the 70 pit. After the 70 pit is cleaned we'll move onto the forest clearing to clean and shoot. Hopefully it won't be too trashed so we can get to the shooting faster.

For those of you who don't already know; FS7013 has/is being attacked by local residents for closure. Even though the forest service has done a great job improving safety in this location and making it pretty much impossible for a accidental round to exit the area; the locals still want it closed and are using every excuse in the book to pressure the forest to make that happen. Me and Steve have been countering the falsehoods/claims being made with data and facts but we as recreational shooters need to step up in greater numbers and show the forest service and the local residents that the majority of us are responsible and care about the public lands we shoot on and will continue to keep them clean. With that being said i hope we have a bigger turn out than last time...

Bring the usual; rakes, shovels, gloves, etc. Trash bags will be provided by the forest service. The one tool we probably need most is wheel barrels to bring back the big stuff.

The lower pit is a mess. The usual random crap people shoot up and shotgun shells. They added a trash can and some gravel in the parking area. Maybe people will get the idea and gather up their crap and put it by the can but people suck so yeah. Didn't get to the upper pit.

I'll be there. Please come if you can; we would appreciate the support for the cleaning portion, which really goes by pretty quickly, and then we'll have a group shoot! It will be a fun day, I promise.

I have added this to the WaGuns Community Calendar. Here are the details:

Please join us for as we partner with the Forest Service to clean two of the shooting areas at Greenwater, and we will have a group shoot afterwards! This is fun and rewarding, and all are welcome.

We will start cleaning at the FS 70 "lower pit":

47.121117, -121.530667

We will then move to the FS 7013 "clearcut" to finish the clean, and then start shooting:

47.116861, -121.586500

Bring gloves if you can, and of course guns/ammo for the shoot!
