Just got mine as well. It's beentsy! I thought it was larger than this, but I actually like the size. It appears to not come with a battery, but once you get inside you find that the battery poles are just protected with a bit of plastic. Strip that off, screw the compartment lid back down and you're in business. It appears I have to get the AR riser since I've got a fixed front sight on my new AR. Anyone know which one it is? Kinda wish I'd got a couple more now... If you look on Amazon, there are still a bunch of them for sale at the original price of $56, I don't see why they wouldn't be eligible for the same rebate as long as you purchase them before the end date: https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00200E0HMEDIT: I just took a closer look and noticed that all of them for sale list their sites as "Just Launched", caveat emptor!

Yes, you need a riser if you're using it on an AR. The TRS-25 is a very popular red dot and has a good reputation. I do dislike a couple of things about it (not that anyone asked my opinion, haha): - I don't like the logo. But there's an app for that- I think the sight in general looks a little . . . outdated? Newer sights like the Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot ( http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms ... ife-md-ads) and the Holosun models (example: https://jet.com/product/detail/1c602d7e ... 4118abc0eb) look a lot sleeker with the different control locations. But . . . they're also 10x the post-rebate price.

Gasitman wrote: Are these any good? Seems like cheap chinese junk. Hmmm. Not sure if serious. Did you miss the previous posts and/or have you been under a rock for 5+ years? They have been the best red dot under $100 for a long time. With that said, many options from Vortex and Burris (both offering lifetime warranties) have come down to the $125 - $150 range. So, you just have to decide what you're comfortable spending and the purpose of the optic.

Like mine, decent small red dot. Forgot where I got it but thinking I paid about $80 for it.

Well i got one of the two i ordered. One is "delayed" in shipping. The other....well its not a TRS-25. I ended up receiving a random car remote starter. Not a nice one but rather a ~130 dollar one with mediocre reviews. So now i get to deal with amazon customer service (which is normally great) and hopefully get my TRS-25 quick!

Why pay $15.99 when you can buy one for $60 on here?
