Hello all! Just moved to WA having spent the past 66 years in CA. I have been active in the shooting sports most of my life, and recently joined the Tacoma Sportsmen's Club so I can continue to shoot. Primary interest is in PPC type shooting. Spent some years in law enforcement and that's how I trained. Big fan of the tried and true da revolver. Looking forward to sharing opinions, stories, info, etc. Oh, and I have been casting and reloading for 45 years. Feel free to pick my brain!

Welcome. I always liked being a member of TSC. They did a bunch for kids and as a member you had your own range.

Thanks!
PPC is "Practical Pistol Course". We used it for monthly qualification. 48 rds at 7, 15, 25 yards. Lots of fun.

I used a Smith model 25-2 in .45 acp with full moon clips for reloads. Lyman 200 gr swc from a 2-cavity mold. Shot thousands of those! Really showing my age!

Haha, I figured that's what it was, since 48 is a multiple of six. Just trying to get you fired up.

My daughter has lived here since 2000 so I moved to be near her and some of my grandkids. Still getting used to the traffic...... My old town had only 10k people!

Welcome to WaGuns! As for PPC style shoots in your area... Paul Bunyon off Canyon Road is a member only range but they hold USPSA matches. Several up north from Tacoma hold USPSA/IDPA/Cowboy shoots. Each have their own schedules. Check with the discipline. www.uspsa.comwww.idpa.comwww.racuscowboys.comThen there are steel plate matches and indoor range typically hold some type of practice shoots (Federal Way Range is close to you).

Welcome Bill!
Looks like we're neighbors, but not for long as I'm headed east to the Spokane area. Might have been nice to shoot some wheelguns with ya! I caught the S&W revolver collecting bug about 4 years ago.

Thanks, everyone.
Still learning my way around here, and will check some of suggestions above.
Also thinking of getting into Smith autos. Any feedback on the new M&P 2.0 version?
