Post WA gun owners now have clear choices
Wash. gun owners have clear choices in races for Gov., AG

A remarkably candid and revealing piece in Sunday’s Seattle Times has provided Evergreen State gun owners with clear choices when they vote in November for a new governor and attorney general.

I don't vote strictly on politicians views on firearms.

They will overweight their stance on one subject, only to be weak or downright offensive in other positions.

They are politicians. They pretty much are snakes to begin with.

What are the factors you evaluate when deciding who to vote for? And what weight do you give each factor?

Does a candidate have to meet all of your standards to get your vote, or is 80% (or some other number) good enough if no one else is better?

I have a handful that are important to me, stance on guns is in there, but its not the only factor.

Just because a politician says "I own an AR" don't mean he earns my vote.

That said, I am not saying McKenna and Dunn are bad guys, just pointing out they are not qualified only on their stance on firearms.

If you have somebody in mind who'd be better, I for one would like to hear your reasons for choosing them. The Primary is less than 10 days away.

Wile E Coyote. The guy always gave it his best. That's who gets my vote.

Second place goes to any ordinary citizen who wins by lottery ticket draw. Do a good job, get another term. Do anything wrong, criminal, or illegal, hard time, 10 year minimum sentence. I would trust that guy to be a leader.

My last sentence summed it up.

Kenny Powers would get my vote every day, in any election. Might even write him in.........

People who get flip about voting deserve the government they elect, or more likely..the government they let somebody else elect.

Others may disagree:

This is serious stuff, and if you don't give a rip...why should Gottlieb or LaPierre lift a finger to act in your interests in Olympia or D.C. or at the UN?

Yes, Dave, it is serious stuff. And, I do care - a lot.

Our choices are limited though, and the system is broken and corrupt.

Accountability is missing from serving in public office, mostly.

In our brave new world, my bet is on McKenna and undecided on other positions at this point in time.
