Hello to all from south Kitsap County. I'm new to precision shooting and looking forward to learning. Santa was good this year:
Remington 700 Varmint .308 26” Magpul Hunter with Magazine Well Nikon M308 Timney 510 Kahntrol Brake Harris HBLMS
I belong to Sportmans Gig Harbor and am in process of joining Sportsmans Port Townsend. Any other nearby ranges?
Was going to shoot today but threw back out, so expect to test drive next week.
Bob

Welcome.
Poulsbo Sportsmens Club and Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club (KRRC) are the other two close to use.
KRRC has been having legal troubles so double check if they are allowing shooting or not. I tend to go to PSC and never have an issue with the RO's there. No real silly rules other than firing to fast.

MadPick, thanks for the welcome. As to other firearms, the wife and I have settled on S&W M&P pistols for fun and protection. She likes 9 and I like 40. Have a handful of each. Also have a Windham AR clone in .308. That got me into .308. Have a bunch of .308 brass saved up and plan to get into reloading soon, especially now with the Rem700. I appreciate the inputs in this forum as well as the Rem700 and Snipers forums in putting together the new rifle. Figure I'll be able to shoot for a long time if not forever without thinking a hardware upgrade would be necessary. Have some other cats and dogs, mainly scattered around the house in case they're needed in a hurry. Having all the kids out of the house is a good thing, in more than one way. We like to keep proficient 2-3 times a month.

Oooh . . . that sounds nice. suppo98366 wrote: Have a bunch of .308 brass saved up and plan to get into reloading soon, especially now with the Rem700. Oh heck yeah. My Rem 700 was my first .308, and if you accurate ammo you'll find out REALLY quickly that reloading is the right answer from a cost perspective. I'm at the point now where I think I enjoy reloading more than I enjoy shooting! suppo98366 wrote: I appreciate the inputs in this forum.... Oh, I see now . . . you've been a silent member for over four years! Wow. Well, I'm glad that you've decided to break the silence and join in!

Welcome!
I'm a member of Gig Harbor too although I don't get out there as much as I'd like.

I used to be a member of Poulsbo Sportsmens Club in the early 80's. Didn't have any issues with RO's then because they didn't really have any. Most of the time we were the only ones there. velillen wrote: Poulsbo Sportsmens Club and Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club (KRRC) are the other two close to use.
