 Daewoo DR-200 with fresh Duracoat
So some of you guys might know by now that I'm a fan of Duracoat on my AR's and Battle rifles. I sent my Daewoo DR-200 to my Duracoat guy Mike a while back and he just got around to finishing it last weekend so I thought I would share it with you all. I really like the work my Duracoat guy does, we usually chat about what patterns and colors to choose for whatever rifle he's spraying for me at the time. This Jungle Tiger Stripe pattern came out really cool this time. These are the pictures he sent me today, when I get the rifle home this week I'll take some more pics. Colors used: -Matte Black -Tiger Stripe Green -Tiger Stripe Brown -Forest Tan

That looks pretty sleek. Always loved a good Daewoo.

I found myself getting burnt out on the AR platform but I always loved the 223/556 caliber so I started to diversify my collection to include other types of 223 Assault rifles. I added this Woo and a Sig 556, MSAR AUG clone and i'm currently looking for a Ak chambered in 223 also. All of them need to be sprayed!

His day job is at Boeing and he's a Design Engineer or something similar. He's the guy that determines what the inside of the Jetliners look like so he's pretty artistic. His father is a well known gunsmith in Snohomish and we are all gun buddy's. I'm not going to drop his full name on this site because I don't know if he want's me to advertise this stuff online for him or not. He disassembles all the rifles for cleaning and spraying. He sprays a base coat then adds the additional colors after each coat dries separately. He 'Fogs" the colors into each other to avoid any hard lines and such. I've got pics of all the rifles he's sprayed for me so far and the patterns he creates can usually blend anywhere, City, County, Desert, Forest, they are pretty universal. I should also add that he sprays all of these rifles free hand, he doesn't use any "Spray & Peel" Kits. A lot of the generic Duracoat company's use those Kits and I really don't like the way they look. The entire purpose of adding camo to your rifle is to disrupt the silhouette it has. When you use those spray kits they create hard lines on the rifle that gives a silhouette again. He's done Urban patterns, Desert patters, Forest, and other Tiger Stripes for me in the past and no 2 rifles look alike. Kinda like the old school tattoo artist, he likes to do unique 1 of a kind spray jobs.

Re: Daewoo DR-200 with fresh Duracoat
Took some better pics tonight outside. Next step is to get with TA and have him remove the Clinton era FS and attach a real one! Then the rifle will be complete.
