Probably three or four of the "help me figure out a good first time/decent handheld/whatever" ham radio threads running around that also have "what's a good study guide for getting my ham license" etc... and they all tend to boil down to suggesting the same book or two and the same two or three radios. Maybe combine them and sticky them?
