 Guardian Tactical - WTF?!
I contacted Guardian Tactical for some parts for an upper I was thinking about building on April 9th. Brandon (TacticalAssault) had told me great things about him and so I wanted to give him some business over the douchebag local stores around here. Well after I called him, I drove to his house and met him to buy some flip up sights and talk about upper parts. We chatted for a while and he was very nice and knowledgable. He had all the parts I wanted in stock except one barrel nut for a hand guard. He said he'd get it ordered the next day and when it showed up he'd have the upper built for me. So he put together an invoice and e-mailed it to me with all the parts required for the build as well as a price. I agreed to it, and he wanted a down payment of $200. No problem, I drove up to his house on April 12th and gave him the $200 cash. When I dropped off the cash, I asked if he had ordered the barrel but, and he hadn't... He told me to shoot him a text the next day to remind him as the distributer was already closed that day. No problem, I did that the next day. Well here we are on April 24th and I have heard nothing from him at all. I have texted many times, called and left voicemails (one of which was to add more parts to the order), and e-mailed him with not a single reply. I am quite worried to say the least. He was over at Brandon's house a few days ago and Brandon brought me up, but nothing was said. So I know he's here and not dealing with an emergency or anything... All I want is my deposit back. I have zero interest in dealing with him anymore as communication is key in business, and he has failed miserably at it. There is no excuse for this, were talking about a damn barrel nut here... I know he will be at the WAC this saturday, and I will be there to collect my money in person. Maybe he'll be surprised to see me?
Any suggestions as to what to do here fellas?
Thanks,
Nick

 Re: Guardian
I think the WAC show appearance will be it.
I would suggest emailing him and texting him to tell him you will be at the WAC on Saturday and will expect either the completed upper or $200 to be handed over to you at that time.

 Re: Guardian
Oh Nick...
Have you heard my story with this "guy"...
So, met him at a WAC show... told him I was interested in a Sig P229 conversion... had money and wanted one... no rush, no big deal.
He told me to contact him... I did a few days later after the show. No word. I left messages, emailed, PM'd and left messages with his employee.
Nothing... It's like I had money in hand... knew what I wanted... he had them in stock... but NOTHING. I did this over 3 months... I wasn't in a rush or dire need for it... but WTF!
He sucks. I will not do business with a jackass like that...
I know he does business here but what a DUMBASS! He needs a secretary or he needs to focus on his J.O.B. I mean what kind of business are you running when folks with money... has to wait and not hear back on simple shit!
Rant over...

 Re: Guardian Tactical - WTF?!
Ya... you can ask Steve... He was there at the gunshow (we were manning the WaGuns table).
When I talked to his "employee" actually a friend helping him out... he told me - ya he's not good at follow up and getting back with people...
No shit? How does he even stay in business? Just sounded like a cluster fuck over there...
Sorry but I know Steve and Brandon are working with him on the FFL07 SOT or whatever... but when a man loses his "word" - he's lost his honor in my eyes.
Can't trust him to follow through.

It has been said " When a turd sits in the toilet for too long, it starts to stink. It is best to flush it sooner, rather than later. "

 Re: Guardian Tactical - WTF?!
Nick, Did you get any reason for the delay? Was it legit? Or was it just avoidance because he hadnt gotten around to working on your upper or ordering you that part?
