Welcome. What handgun do you want? Revolver? Pistol? Tupperware?

Oh, and watch out for Madpick.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

I was looking at S&W 640's, I want something to cc to begin with. I like cowbow action revolvers but dont think they would work well as carry guns. What do you guys think of the .38 stoping power?

It's been killing people for over 100 years. Hard to find a cartridge that has as many different bullet types available. You do your part and put the bullet where it needs to go, the bullet will do the rest.
You may want to look into a .357 snubby. That way, if you so wish, you can shoot both the .357 magnum or the .38SPL in the same revolver.

Cool, I appreciate all the help. I think I will go to the range again and try out a few different guns.

Welcome to WaGuns, Dust! :cheers2:

Yeah, definitely get out there and try some different guns. Go to a range and rent some, drop by Mary's Pistols and let Drew shove them into your hands so you can fondle them, and come to one of our group shoots and try the ones that we already own!
