A couple friends on fb suggested jb weld. It has a tensile strength of 5020psi. So if the small piece I'm connecting is only say 1/4" just to make the calculation easier, then I'd be looking at about 313lbs of force that joint could withstand? Am I doing this right? There are 16 square 1/4 inches in 1 sq. in? So 5020/16=313.75?
I'm not sure that's strong enough to handle the weight of the stove and grill (about 85lbs) and the torque applied when cleaning the grill, moving it around, etc.
