Looking to have some wheels turned to get rid of curb rash.

Sat Mar 19, 2022 3:53 pm

The wife's car is about to get new tires, so it'd be a good time to get her wheels turned to get rid of the curb damage.

Anyone have any good ideas on who to have do this?

All aluminum, painted black, but I don't mind repainting the ring left when they are turned.

Wheel repair is something most shops steer clear of. Gonna be hard to find someone. That said...I know a guy. PM sent.

Accent Wheel Repair in Tacoma and WheelKraft in Vancouver are who most of the anal Tesla users use.

I have done it myself using a file. Just be gentle and stay away from the bead seating area. Repaint if needed. I drive Studebakers so I have even welded up some spot welded rims with my wire feed.
