Yup, I'm the poor bastard that got stuck with TacticalAssault and Massivedesign all day. :frust: Fortunately there was pretty much endless gunfire, so I didn't have to listen to them for the most part.

I'm going to forgo the fancy slideshow, and just list out my pics old-school style . . . like we did back in 2013.

Actually, let's start with a video . . . because this one makes me LAUGH MY ASS OFF every time I watch it. :ROFLMAO: Mind you, I didn't do much better, but the point here is that nobody got video of ME.

SOG had a table, and an area where they gave you a brief into to knife-throwing. SIG556, how do your young daughters compare to Dan, skill-wise? (Click below for video.)

Image

Here's a shot of a Barrett .50, first with the suppressor removed from the rifle (standing on its end on the table near the muzzle), and then attached. They don't allow 50BMG to be shot at the range . . . so we didn't get a chance to try it.

Image

Image

We were waiting in line at the Kriss booth when Colion Noir showed up . . . fanboy Brandon was right there with the iPhone. :4couple:

Image

Mr. Noir of course headed straight to the front of the class while the little people (um, that was us) waited in line:

Image

But finally it was our turn to shoot the suppressed, full-auto Kriss Vector. It had semi-auto, two-shot burst, and full-auto modes:

Image

Image

Image

Here's Dan and Brandon in all their glory (click for video):

Image

We got a chance to try Tac-Con's 3MR trigger. This is the trigger that has "regular" semi-auto mode, and also a mode where the trigger assists in bump-firing. First watch how the pros do it:

http://tacfirecon.com/

Then watch how Brandon and Dan do it (click for video):

Image

No video of me . . . which is good, because I sucked even worse than Dan. :frust: I think it would be fun with some practice, though.

The semi-auto Steyr AUG was pretty cool:

Image

Image

Some of you may recognize this YouTuber, Iraqveteran8888. He was doing some filming today.

Image

We took a crack at the Glock 41 (long-slide .45) and Glock 42 (small .380). Impressions: The Glock 41 was a big .45 . . . and not surprisingly, was easy to shoot well. The Glock 42 was nice and small, and very easy to shoot as well; it wasn't snappy at all, as many little .380 pistols are. I've love to have a chance to compare one side-by-side with other pocket pistols. Here's the Glock booth and some pics of the two guns and mags together:

Image

Image

Image

Image

Here we are shooting the Glock 41:

Image

Image

Image

And the Glock 42:

Image

Image

Image

TargetVision makes a couple of cool systems. One is a remote target-changer (they're on a roll, just roll it up when one target is finished), and the other is a remote target camera that operates up to one mile away:

Image

IWI had a great display of Tavors, in both 5.56x45 and 9mm Luger, and in both LH and RH:

Image

And of course . . . we shot them. :thumbsup2:

Image

Image

Image

Here's a random pic just to show you how freaking AWESOME this range was:

Image

This was the table as the Redring sight booth. Not shown is the Keltec KSG that they had.

Image

Dan and I took turns shooting clays with that little bitty short-barreled Remington 870.... :rockout:

Image

Check out these cans of Federal ammo. There are thirty rounds of 5.56 in each can on the left, and not nearly enough rounds of .22 in the cans on the right to justify spending $120 at CTD. :ROFLMAO:

Image

This is a pretty badass AR in .300 Win Mag, from Miller Precision Arms:

Image

It was a hell of a day . . . I wish we had another day or two, so we could go back and see and shoot more!

Listen all you bitches...

I sucked at knife throwing, but... at least I tried **cough cough..Brandon was afraid to get sand in his vagina**. It was humbling, but I hit my target twice, sigh.

The tac-purse was a life saver with all the schwag that I got that you two jokers will be excluded from in the PIFs,

My opinion of the Glocks are in my thread I posted earlier.

I assume you mean the Glock 42. It felt really good . . . small enough to be very concealable, but really comfy to hold and shoot. Like I briefly mentioned above, I'd love to try it side-by-side with other guns like the Sig P238, the XDs 9mm, the new R51, etc. (I don't care about the small DAO .380s . . . they all suck, IMHO. DAO is a no-go for me.)

Without doing a better side-by-side test, I'm not going to say that the Glock 42 is a winner. I am going to say that it's really easy to shoot, and shoot well, and that's important in a carry gun.

Dan, what is up with that funky grip you're using on the G42? Was it that awkward, or was that just you?

And yes. My gals would embarrass you at knives. I struggle to keep up with em. When we first started we would say "you wanna go play a game of clang?" because that's the sound you hear before you get the hang of it....*clang*! How long were those SOG's? Did they quote you an MSRP?

Oh . . . were we supposed to be paying attention to the details?

It's a custom grip, called lefty. :bonghit:

The SOGs didn't have pricing on them at the range, but I will take a look at the show. I play CLANG well then huh?

So....that gal you embarrassed yourself in front of at the SOG booth..... She have a name? Ring? Phone number?

As horrid as you were I would hope you got at least some sympathy information for your brethren....

Hmm?

PS - Stick to guns. My lord. Pity the fool who had to resharpen those spatulas......

:peep:
