I'm a little behind on starting a thread / trip report.

A group of 4 from Spokane hit the road last Saturday around 3:30 and drove straight through to Vegas. The roads were less than desirable for a good portion of the trip.

For our return trip we've decided NOT to had home tomorrow after the show and instead get a good night's sleep and leave Saturday morning. None of us cared much for driving in the dark when it's snowing / black ice / slush, etc on the road.

I guess I need to get to bed since I have a busy day planned for tomorrow. It's almost midnight here.

Here's a really neat product.

It's a heavy duty plastic A frame (think "saw horse") with either 6 or 12 plastic bottles hanging from it.

The bottles are available separately as well.

Price is $179 for the 6 bottle version, $199 for the 12 bottle version.

If there's interest in this item, I'll add it to my product offerings and get them in stock for the Puyallup / Monroe guns shows.

It stands 3' tall and is 3' wide. It folds up for easy transport.

We saw those in the new product center, pretty cool. Looks like they can take a lot of hits too!

Good to see you Doug and good to meet your bro! Great show!

Glad we were able to chat as our paths crossed. WOW, it was a busy 4 days.

AK47 PMAGs started shipping to distributors last Friday. As soon as my suppliers have them, I will order some.

18+ hour road trip begins in 1 hour.

I'm glad to leave - it's getting old having people ask for money every time I turn around. It's either street bums walking through the intersections when the traffic lights are red or approaching us as we walk around outside. In one case, a guy claimed his wallet was stolen and wanted money for a room - this was just a few minutes ago.
Ah... and the people in the room next to me got in to an argument at 4am and woke me up an hour earlier than I intended to get up. It's 5 am now.

How about the jackasses clogging the sidewalk to give you fliers, coupons, etc.? I was ready to punch some of those bastards in the face....

I particularly loved the really ugly women wearing the shirts that said "orgasm specialist" and a number of other keenly disturbing statements when taken in context.

They always sit right there at the bottom of the stairway/escalator (it was only a stairway by the end of the show) to hand out their crap.

We stopped on the way back to socal (driving back up to WA later this week) in the arizona desert and blew off some 40mm, and a bunch of .223, .308. Unfortunately, the only camera I had was the rather crappy one on my mp3 player.

That got really annoying. I wanted to ask them for the entire stack of cards, then throw them in the air.

We left Vegas at about 6:10 am and returned to Spokane at 11:30 pm Saturday. I drove the first shift and made it north of Spanish Fork, UT. The other three drivers finished the driving chores. Total fuel cost was $318 for the entire trip. We rented a Dodge Grand Caravan, which turned out to be a pretty decent travel rig. Of the 4 people in my group, none of us have a vehicle suitable for a road trip that can double as a rig to fit in a parking garage or run around in city traffic.... they were all one or the other, but not both!

It was a blessing to drive through the SLC metro area and NOT have to contend with any road construction, FINALLY!
I've driven through their numerous times since 2008 and the entire highway was getting rebuilt north and south of SLC.

If I'd have been solo on this trip, I'd have stopped in SLC and attended another trade show - Outdoor Retailer, Winter Market. (aka "OR" show) Some of the companies at the SHOT Show were headed to SLC for OR show.
