So who was it that said they had a extra ticket & couch in the hotel room & needed a nice person who never been to shot show but spent all his money on family Christmas presents to go along? ... :)

On a whim, I decided to check if being an owner of a small internet community would get me access to the legendary annual SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Jan 2014. Not only did I receive access, but I also was granted Media Status, which means I get to go shoot all the new toys on Media Day...

It's too late this year to add people to our group, but I plan on watching other groups to see the qty of people going, media and non. Next year we may just open the flood gates to allow members in on our group!

I believe each group has a max of 5 for crew if you are the head of a media organization, like you would be considered. If you are a lowly writer you don't get crew. I didn't even have the option to add crew.

Unfortunately they are really pretty strict with the rules, I guess a few blogs/forums tried to do just that, and are no longer allowed media access at all for any member. Speaking with several media types on how to go about SHOT every veteran said follow their rules. They will kick you out, and you will be black listed. Just don't want to see WAGuns get the boot...

I know vendors usually bring a whole caravan with them... Maybe next year we can sweet talk one of our awesome FFL's to attend and take a crap load of members.

Yeah vendors have an army they bring... Media, because we don't have to pay for entry, is subject to pretty heavy restrictions.
