The Griffin Armament E-Tac 30mm rings are a high quality, well designed and meet high expectations to the detail of the finished product. All the edges are radiused and blended, leaving no edge or corner to snag on skin, clothing or other items. The mounting portion uses the Stanag standard interface so they are also compatible to both both the Picatinny rail system and the Weaver rail system. The crossbolts are ¼ inch Grade 5 threaded bolts and uses T-15 cap screws for the rings. I installed these rings on our department’s back-up Sniper rifle platform and these rings in my opinion are of better quality than other name brand rings that we currently employ.

At first look the Griffin Armament M4SD II Flash Comp is a beautiful piece of hardware. It weighs in at approx. 2.4oz with a length of 2.25". It's a very nice black oxide finish and it threads on. The installation process was extremely simple. There were very easy to read and understand instructions provided. I noticed considerable improvement being able to get my second rounds off quicker and less barrel movement. The flash signature reduced considerably especially at night. Overall this is a great piece of hardawre to add to your long gun. I was extremely impressed with the performance allowing me to shoot faster and more accurately. I highly recommend the Griffin Armament M4SD II Flash Comp. I don't have one negative thing to say about it.

The TM-M4-SD Compensator easily installed. It looks nice on the weapon. The muzzle flash was greatly reduced when shooting the weapon however the muzzle blast was loud and not any quieter then the standard muzzle brake. The TM-M4-SD reduced the recoil of the weapon and was easier to fire multible shots with less barrel rise. The ported end of the TM-M4-SD might have problems with carbon deposits collecting inside the compensator and will not be easy to clean without removal.

The M4-SD Muzzle brake was easy to install with directions supplied. The quality and craftmanship is well constructed. The product performed as described and worked well as a muzzle brake for felt recoil however the muzzle flash was increased when shooting compared to the standard flash suppressor installed on the weapon and could be a problem with target aquisition in low light to no light shooting conditions due to the muzzle flash. The M4-SD muzzle brake is designed to port the energy out to the sides of the weapon to reduce the felt recoil and this could also be a problem shooting in a tactical stack or rapid responce formation (Team Shooting) The muzzle blast appeared louder then the weapons standard flash suppressor. The M4-SD muzzle brake does have additional versitility as it comes with a stainless steel mount for the M4-SD-II sound supressor.
