Win 71 4 Digit. Clean Rifle and Yes its all original. Safe Queen. It checks all the boxes. Would prefer the transfer be done at Brads or Rainier in Auburn. Might consider a Smith K Frame as partial trade. Thanks. Asking $3500

That's a great rifle. It should be noted that it's a 'Special Grade' with the quick detach sling mounts (like the Mod70 SuperGrade) and the checkered stock and fore end. The bolt peep sight is really a nice piece. This one would also have the 'long tang', when Winchester was worried that the 348Win cartridge might be too much power for a lever gun (it's not, but they soon changed to a 'short tang').

Looks like the only modification is the butt pad.

Sounds like you know the 71. Some would argue the change on the tang had more to do with saving a few bucks. The 71 from a business move was a disaster, they lost money. The Bolt Action Rifle later came on the scene which was a death blow to the Winchester 71. RIP Winchester 71 1935-1958
