Interesting stuff. I might buy one because I'm looking for a new phone and Samsung has screwed the pooch so badly recently. I suspect the VHF element is more a novelty, but it's pretty cool.

Edit: No 4g support. Lame.

Only backwoods, redneck, hillbilly right wingers would into it. Should probably post about it for hits on your "site".

Well that was the most incoherent thing I've read here since Jammersix's rants this morning.

FYI you are aware I don't maintain a website right now?

Unless you want to be notified when I start posting articles on http://www.knobandtube.org but you don't strike me as somebody who appreciates the early electrical porcelain industry in the United States.

You know what they say, there's a tube for every knob...

This thing looks pretty neat. Shame I have to choose between UHF and VHF, though. No dual-band? That's like choosing a favorite child.

I used to be a member of a club that linked their 6m and 10m repeaters to UHF, that made it a bit more interesting than the regular commuters on 2m yakking about their aches & pains. :facepalm2: At least I could catch them complaining about their wives, that's worth a chuckle.

I don't think there's one like that around here

I don't think so either. The Capitol Peak repeater has a 10m remote base though that is kinda cool http://47repeater.com/features/

Not a General, unfortunately. I won't be slapping an 8 foot fishing pole on my car just to listen. Thanks for the heads up, though. :cheers2:

EDIT: Just re-read it and saw that I can get it on 2M. Score.

You should get your general. It's a lot more fun, and not that hard if you study the question pool.

It's that Amateur Extra that you need to be a Rocket Scientist to past. No joke, I was dating this woman that works for Blue Origin and is responsible for space missions, has a Masters in in aeronautical engineering or something, i would randomly ask her questions from the pool and she would think about it and give me the correct answer.
