Those who've been stockpiling may be able to help answer. Where's the best place to buy or get discounts for medical supplies? Tournequets, bleeding control, things of that nature. Trying to build on my medical supplies. I'm trying to build a larger trauma kit, and as well larger IFAK's for the cars. I figure alone I need 6-8 more tourniquets. Anyone know of a good place that gives quanatee discounts on med supplies?

Tell a couple bums you'll pay them $50 per shopping cart full of whatever they can steal from an aid unit. Extra $20 for a defibrillator, but it has to have all the accessories.
Must happen a lot, know a few EMT's, always missing shit.

I'll be damned, I get to help out finally. You need to contact Paris(Col_Temp). I believe he is the go to for this sort of thing. Also, another guy is a member here, as well as SGN. Have dealt with him over there, but not here. Same name in both places, but its escaping me currently. He isn't a daily poster. However I think he is a mn medic of some sort and help people build IFAKS and such, like he did for me. Anyone have a name?

When its time to go in: That place of steel and stone. I pray that you will keep me safe, so I will not walk alone. Help me to do my duty, please watch me on my rounds. Amongst those perilous places and slamming steel door sounds. God, keep my fellow Officers well and free from harm. Let them know I'll be there too, whenever there's alarm. Above all when I walk my beat, no matter where I roam. Let me go back whence I came, to family and home Author unknown.

Never used one of these.... What's it's improvement over like the CAT or SOF?
The only place it truly shines over a CAT or SOF-T would be in one handed self application. Because there is no windless, you don't need both hands to apply. I've personally never applied one but they seem to be well liked across the interwebs and the YouTube videos do show it being extremely easy to apply. If I were shot in the arm, I'd rather have this on me than a CAT.
Plus they're relatively cheap at $15 so it can't hurt to have a few.

Don't forget you can use HSA and FSA monies for some first aid supplies.
Translation please?
HSA = Health Savings Account.
If your employer offers it, its kinda like a 401k in that you put pre-tax dollars into a special account that is used exclusively for healthcare costs.
Examples of things I've bought this way. Contacts, glasses, contact cleaning solution, condoms, combine pads, band-aids, gauze. Check out the list of eligible itemsand you might be able to fill your kit tax free.
