I think I’ve decided this is the reloading setup I’m going to build around. Is there anywhere around locally that sells these things? I know I can order it on Amazon, but I’d prefer to pick it up locally if at all possible... I’m already getting flack for all the boxes showing up from UPS everyday

From work or from the wife? If the latter, ship to work, so she does not know!
:thumbsup2:

Yup username "marcusp323"

I haven't seen XL650s for sale locally, might be worth a call to Pintos in Renton. Otherwise I'm sure you could get a store to special order it for you... but why deal with the tax?

The best marketplace for used (and sometimes new) Dillon equipment can be found on Brian Enos' site. There's a wealth of Dillon information there.

The specific sub-forum for Dillon information is here: http://forums.brianenos.com/forum/78-di ... equipment/

You can't go wrong with Dillon equipment. Even if you have a problem, there's lots of help (including Dillon itself) to get you going.

I have an XL650 and a SDB. Great machines.

Precise shooter in lynnwood stocks them and a lot of Dillon parts I just went the 650 route myself if you have any set up trouble shoot me a note. Markusp323 does not deal in 650 parts regularly I checked with him when I was looking for on couple months ago

I'm a Rock Chucker and Hornady AP guy, but what is the diff between the 550 and 650? Ability to feed cases and bullets?

650 is auto indexing and has a 5 hole plate. 550 must rotate manually and only has 4 hole plates for the dies.

Both can except case feeders but it works much better on the 650. I don’t believe you can reload certain long length rifle rounds on the 650 though. Possibly anything bigger than 308 but I would have to verify.

I have 2 550’s and love them but the 650 would be better for mass producing plinking rounds. Especially with the bullet feeder and casefeeder.

He had a 650 listed here, and had a ton of conversion kits and gear for 650's last month, probably still has a bunch of stuff available. Toss him a PM.
