Agreed, those bullets look really good!
I've never tried the tumbler trick; I just shake the plastic container for a few minutes. It sucks.
And in the over, I've always used non-stick aluminum foil . . . I've never seen a rack like that being used. Hmm. I stack my bullets on end (anal? haha), but that's a PITA too and I'd love to get away from it.

500 grain... Those look awesome Brian. The biggest lead that I have cast is around 250 grain. When the lead cools, does it tend to develop a pretty good dimple in the sprue? Do the dies have a deeper sprue than those for smaller castings? Are you making your own lube or is that commercial?

The sprue is no different, nice clean, flat. I used SPG lube. $30 for a lb. Should last a whIle bit with the pan I have I need 3/4 lb min to reach the 4th groove of the bullet.

Range follow up; REALLY good groups on the 500 gr cast (512 actual weight). No photos of target, you'll have to trust me. :) My oldest son was along with me so we shared a target. Gordon was trying out his new S&W MP Shield and then I convinced him to throw 512 grains of lead downrange on the smoke pole. There is something satisfying about that report and "THWAP" as it hits the target and ground backstop. I loaded another 44 tonight. Garand match tomorrow. I get last place but it's a great place to practice (200 and 260 yds) https://vimeo.com/206783214
