You must of missed the part where some level headed person on this site gave an example of an everyday, non operator type person who has the scope in the trunk, of a black car, traveling to eastern Washington, in the summer. Stops at Denny's for lunch in 90º weather for an hour before traveling to their final destination.

Inside trunk temp... somewhere around 140º

Because even potatoing in regular temps (or regular to my low speed potato environment) I was constantly getting zero shift. Super high or low temps weren't necessary to make it move.

We can talk about this in a general firearms thread if someone wants to start one but it's been hashed and rehashed many times already (did you get the potato reference?).
