COSTCO has two cases of ground beef for $450, I can get it for $441. That comes out to $37.50 per can (normally $56). There is one member that wants a case in the Snohomish area, are there any other people that would like to get some?

OK I now have two people that each want a case at $221 each in the Snoho area. I'm going to contact fishranger that is in the area, and a rep to see if he wants to facilitate the transfer. I594 laws apply, and buyers subject to a BGC. (just kidding)

I can certainly handle that. If the interested parties want to check in with me, I can get that ordered up.
Thanks Chuck.

How is the stuff? I know FishRanger is listening, but I would like an honest review. If you clowns say it's OK I'm in as well.

I'll wait for the other clowns to weigh in. I trust you, but sometimes the mechanics of rehydrating are a bit glossed over.

How do you rehydrate the chicken?

With an equal part of Thrive freeze dried water. 1 cup of water will reyhdrate 1 cup of freeze dried water, which you can then use to rehydrate the chicken.

All joking aside I generally like the the Thrive products.

I have some questions about this beef before I commit $200+

1) Why the "corn protein"?
2) How well does it hydrate? I have had issues with other products not evenly hydrating. I mean this is always present to some extent, and light years ahead of the old days. I think Thrive is tops compared to some back packing stuff, but it's always a question when I have super mushy parts and crunchy parts.
3) How does this ground beef taste?

Thanks!

3) How does this ground beef taste? Like ground beef that has already been cooked, and the fat drained off. I believe it starts out as 80/20 beef.

Thanks!

For breakfast I make sausage gravy and start with melting some butter. I then throw the sausage or beef in the butter to kind of caramelize it. I then add the water, bring it to a simmer, then add the gravy ingredients. For the beef most of the time I don't pre-hydrate it, I just add it into whatever I'm making. I almost always start with butter, and chopped garlic that is sweated with the beef.
thrivelife.com/recipes has some good ones.

Ok, so I have 3 people (Pablo, Mislabeled and beckdw) who are in for a 6 pack each.
Anyone else? I will be ordering tonight or Tuesday.
