Anyone ever thought of doing a group buy on 80% lowers? I found a few places to order them and they usually have a discount for 5 or more. It would be a fun group buy and build party. Anyone have experience building their own?

http://www.advancedrifles.com/http://www.tacticalmachining.com/80-pro ... ivers.htmlhttp://www.hhtactical.com/product-p/hh223.htmhttp://www.shadowopsweaponry.com/produc ... ivers.aspxHere's a few I bookmarked. The last one has lots in stock too. I was just thinking for the party to keep it cheap and just finish the lower then everyone can add their parts as they buy them.

Here's an email from tactical machining. Since all of their products say out of stock. They are also the least expensive. The .308 lowers are about twice as much though and would require their own set of templates.
We actually run 24H 6 days a week. Unfortunately we have an extensive back order on all most all products like you noticed. The best way to get on the back order is to call us at 386-490-4464.
What we're you looking for?

Unless you can get an amazing price for a GB I don't think anyone is going to pay $200 for an 80% lower

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_2_570/2359 ... _Kits.htmlIMHO everyone should purchase their own 80% lower and chip in on the cost for the jig and such. These kits listed above are the best kits on the market. "Sent Via Time Traveling Blue Police Box"

Damn... that FDE one looks mighty sexy... So all we need is the jig and a drill press?
The jig to me just looks like something that holds the lower and shows where to drill correct?

Make sure you know the laws surrounding the building of 80% receivers.

^ Correct me if I'm wrong but as the owner of the 80% lower we MUST do all the finishing work ourselves. AKA no one else drills/mills our lower.
But say I'm using the drill press there would be nothing wrong with someone experienced standing next to me saying "hey dumbass pull the lever down more"
