UPDATE - 2-12-2013

Hey guys,

So, good news and bad news....

The good - After numerous contact attempts I was finally able to get a hold of them.

The bad - orders will not process until May.

Currently they have several million bullets on back order and they are trying to keep up with the escalated demand. As I was talking with them, they were processing over a million bullets to one of their major distributors. They will have bullets again for another group buy but that will not be until May.

The last few group buys that I organized went quite smoothly as some of you on here can remember. If all goes well and this buying frenzy passes, I'm hoping to organize another group buy in May.

I will check in with them periodically and, if bullets become available prior to May, I will initiate another buy. Til then, I'm hoping that all of us are able to find the components that we need.

Sorry I couldn't help out, guys...although I didn't have any bullets on order for myself, I'm disappointed that I couldn't help you guys out.

Oz

Hey guys,

I'm reposting this thread since my last one was locked. I am doing this on two other forums (SGN and NWFA) and this forum slipped my mind. I'll be placing the order this Friday so please send me your needs. THIS IS FOR THE BULLET PROJECTILE ONLY!

Here is the original post:

"Hey all,

It's been a while since I've put together a group buy so I figured I'd go ahead put together another one to get you folks some more bullets! I have not been on this forum much but had over 100+ positive feedback on SGN prior to site transition and am also on NWFA. Considering most of us frequent many of the same forums, I'm sure I've traded, met, and BS'd with several of you on here.

For those who are unfamiliar with Rainier Ballistics, they are a local bullet manufacturer located in Tacoma, WA. They do not usually deal directly with the public but their bullets can be found nationwide at numerous sporting stores. All of their bullets are leadsafe, total copper plated which reduce lead vapors by as much as 95%.

Here's the link to their website:

SWC=Semi-Wad cutter. TRN=Truncated Round Nose. RNFP=Round Nose Flat Point.

Prices are still the same but may change soon so don't miss out! Also, due to recent demand for bullets, some calibers may be temporarily out of stock. Once you send me your needs, I'll confirm with RB to make sure they are available.

Personally, I've shot over 50,000 of these through numerous pistols and have never had any problems with them. Great chance to support a local business while getting some great bullets!

Thanks!"

Here is the update:

 Re: Group ammo buy
Hey guys,

Sorry for the hang up on my group bullet buy thread with rainier. I am doing it on two other forums (SGN and NWFA) and this forum completely slipped my mind. I PM'd massivedesign to see if he can unlock the thread so I can update it. I will be placing the order Friday!

Here is the updated post from the two other forums:

"Hey guys,I just spoke with Rainier Ballistics on Friday and they confirmed that EVERYTHING is in stock. Fortunately, they were prepared for this madness! I will be reviewing all of my Pm's and sending in the order on Friday. It usually takes them a few days to gather everything so it should all be ready the following Friday. From this Friday to next (tentative pickup day) I will be gathering payments. PayPal (gift or +4% for fees) works best for me. Otherwise, USPS money order can be sent to my home address or delivered in person. If payment is not received before pickup, I will not pick up your bullets. Sorry guys, but I've learned the hard way through the last group buys that fronting money isn't the smartest thing to do.

Since I am not ordering anything for myself and am ONLY doing this for you shooters, I ask that you please make it convenient for me to receive payment and meet for bullets. I am located in West Seattle but head to Kent/Auburn and Everett/Shoreline a couple of times a month. If you can chip in a dollar or two for gas (as traveling to and from West Seattle to Tacoma with thousands of bullets can be costly). Otherwise, I'm not asking for anything - your discretion. Again, I'm doing this so y'all can get out there and shoot without a penny for personal profit.

This is my third or fourth bullet buy that I've organized for SGN (prior to the site change and membership requirement) so I'm sure there are several guys still on here that can testify about the entire process.

If you want bullets, I'll need your order in by Thursday night so I can have it to Rainer by Friday. For this that have PM'd me with orders, I will return your PM's for order confirmation."

For anyone that is interested and has questions, PM me or, if you are at the group shoot today, ask Arrun (TugTug) as we have done several group buys together.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT NEW YEAR!

Oz

Hey all,

To those participating, the order has been forwarded to Rainier Ballistics and am waiting confirmation and pick up date. I will start collecting payments once I receive a response back from them.

Massive, these prices reflect group pricing, directly from Rainier without a PENNY for markup. Since I am not profiting and did not order any bullets for myself, I'm hoping that a few of you can chip in a dollar or two for gas since I will be making several trips from Seattle to Tacoma with over 50,000 bullets. If you can't chip in, no worries...I'm simply trying to promote a great product from a local business and allow fellow shooters to get in on a great deal.

Again, payment will be due PRIOR to picking up bullets (Paypal, USPS Money Order, Cash in person) or I will not be able to pick up your order.

In the next day or two, I will also PM individually those that ordered to follow up. Feel free to do the same.

Hey everyone,

So, it looks like the order will not be ready anytime before the 20th since the Rainier Team is attending Shot Show in Las Vegas and will not be able to gather our order until they return. If this is too long of a wait for you, please message me so that I can remove you from the group buy list.

I will follow up with Rainier again later in the week and update the post when I get an official pick up date. Once the date is scheduled, I will begin collecting payment from everyone.

Go Seahawks!

Hey all,

i just got off the phone with Phyllis at Rainier and they just returned from Shot Show yesterday. They will be reviewing our order and she says that she will contact me by the end of the week to confirm inventory and schedule a pick up date. All of the prices have remained the same for their bullets. Once I get the scheduled pick up date, I will contact each of you individually to begin taking payments.

Sorry about the delay. Normally orders do not take this long but, with the current buying frenzy along with their trip to Shot Show, they have been pretty busy.

PM me if you no longer want to be in the Group Buy as there are others that will purchase your bullets if you decide the wait is too long for you.

Cheers,
Oz
