Anybody hear any truth to that post about some folks getting robbed at Greenwater?

I figure with the connections you guys have with DNR, you would have heard before a 3rd or 4th party FB post....

I haven't heard of anything lately and vaguely remember what you're talking about but i do remember a while back someone spray painted on the barriers at the 70 pit beware of the couple in the red pick-up or something to that effect and a half licence #

Is this post you speak of current, link to post?

As long as I don't have to work I don't see why not.

Barring some random unexpected occurrence, the girlfriend and I will be out. We may even try to recruit a friend or two to come out as well.

*OP updated* Ok i talked to the rangers about moving start point to the 70 pit and finishing off the clean at the forest clearing where we will also do the shooting. They are ok with this and i believe this is a better area to hold more people for a group shoot and parking for vehicles. Also there is more shade for those who want to take a break from the sun(see pic below). It's about 75 to 100 yards from the boulders to the base of the hill side depending on where you're shooting from.

Argh I can't go, otherwise I'd bring coffee and stuff again.
Would Sundays work better for these things?

I was up there today. The upper pit has some pretty good trash built up now, i didn't stop and look at the clearcut but it was busy.
The most disturbing part was the spot on the left just before the pit. They had put concrete barriers there, but there is an opening on the end and two vehicles were in there with people shooting.

No backstop, elevated target boards and rounds heading towards Greenwater proper. :facepalm2:

WTF are people thinking?? No backstop and no concern for where those rounds are going. Some lady with a baby on her hip and some yay hoo's just blasting away.

It was marked no shooting before though i saw no signs when my son and i passed by. Just some Graffiti on the barriers and some ignorant people with no concern for anyone else. :blackcloud1:

Any of you guys going, and have an adventure/dual sport bike, and want to ride after some clean up, bring it.
We're, should be four of us so far, planning on running over to the other side of FS70 down to Whistling Jack's for fuel up, then either up Chinook, or head east along American river looking a rafters boobies or Bethel ridge and on into Packwood.
Might take a break just after cresting over to the east side to shoot just a bit, but nothing drastic or time consuming.
Not figuring on getting home to Puyallup until almost dark. We don't leave riders to split off and head back on their own, so if you want to go, plan on an all day adventure!

I'd like to go, but I don't currently have a car. If someone is going through Fremont and doesn't mind the company, I'll go lend a hand. Otherwise, have fun at the cleanup!
