Breck, you took some great photos but I think there was an important point that wasn't emphasized clearly enough. At one point, usrifle decided to show off his new big-boy .45 pistol. He shot it once, and it hurt his dewicate widdle hands. So the next time up to bat, he went all Michael Jackson on us to try to preserve his sensitive skin: I was really proud of WaGuns today. Well, right up until that moment, when I felt a deep shame.

I think you even cried a little. Anybody want to buy some VZ G10 or whatever the hell these Cheese grater grips are? They look nice, but will peel skin.

Oh . . . one story from yesterday. While we were shooting, one of the guys from the group next to us walked over and asked us if one of us wanted a box of 20 gauge shotguns shells that he had bought by accident, since he wanted 12 gauge. He was just going to give them to us. Since Breck and I both have 20 gauge shotguns at home, we said "sure." I walked back to the guy's truck with him to get the shells, and I told him, "You know, before you give these to us, I just need to tell you that you're doing it wrong. That box of shells is a sign from God that you need to go buy a 20 gauge shotgun." He looked at me for a few seconds and thought about it . . . and then closed the truck door and said, "Okay."

How about that 12ga wad that penetrated and actually lodged itself in the 2x4? That was crazy.

There was actually two of those Wad hits, one of them penetrated over 1/2 the 2x4 and buckled the backside....Crazy. Between that and the 4 well centered .44 holes, I have to cut a new crossbar. Oh, and don't forget Steve's battle cry..." I'm Hit!...I just got shot in the face" A pine needle fell out of the tree and brushed his cheek. Pussy.

I paused for a moment in the heat of the action to snap a selfie of my injury: Yup, I got hit by something . . . I think it was a piece of bullet jacket ricocheting off a steel target, maybe. On a positive note, I really appreciated it when usrifle-jr told me, "Yes, it's bleeding." At least that made me feel validated.
