Yes, parking in the pit is possible. They closed down one small pit, so plenty pf spots to park and walk down into, or catch a ride. Talking with DNR, there was a clean up a while ago, but said they'd be happy tp supply bags and everything if we were to pile it up they will come grab it. They aren't able to do a dumspter currently.
***** Also, something to think about guys, if we do "clean up", they log our volunteer hours, which helps keep these places open. Not to mention, we are volunteers then, and get temporary Discovery Day passes from them.
