It's similar except we can go 180 degrees and the scoring is either a hit or a miss (head shot or down zero zone on an IDPA target). It's preferred if you have some action shooting experience but you can contact Sean and ask him.

And it's really fun. When it gets to fall start time will stay at 4:00 - run once in the fading daylight then additional runs will be using your weapon lights.

It's not dark until after 9. Does the forest canopy make it seem to get darker earlier?

I'm talking about this fall, after the time change. That is when the night shooting will happen.

Spectators are welcome but, at least for the 2 that I've attended, there isn't much to see. The courses have been building/structure clearing, shooter and RO go through the door and you hear the run. There may have been more open courses before I started.

I'm currently at a 200yd zero. Is that close enough for this?

Targets are at bayonet to 7-8 yards distance. Target point area is either index card sized head shot A zone or plate sized chest A zone.
A standard AR load zeroed at 200 yards will impact (roughly) 2.5" below an aiming point at 8 yards distance. You'll be moving, sighting and shooting, so not much time for Kentucky Windage...

Sounds like I need a five clicks down.
Edit. Too late for math. 6 clicks up.
A1 round front post 16" barrel. Each click is 3/8" at 25m.
Or is it 7?

I'm really interested in shooting this, I need to shake off the cobwebs. Are there restrictions for gear/optics?
