Can't add much to what has been said. The people who came put in some hard working hours that's for sure and we'll need to maintain what we cleaned up so next time there will be more shooting and less cleaning. With that being said we still have a long ways to go so places like green water won't keep getting trashed so fast and possible shut down. Two Leo's now work the area so that will help but well still need to have more Volunteering so keep spreading the word and lets get more people onboard.

Nice soggy morning! It was nice to see a good turnout, given the conditions. I wasn't able to join the festivities at the big pit, but the dumpster picture shows what, about 2/3rds of the amount of junk we had in October? It would be cool to find out who the other groups were, that apparently did cleanup events here recently, and perhaps we can join forces to be even more impactful. Getting a dumpster hauled up here can't be cheap, so maybe we can collaborate with other like-minded groups to rally around a single date, and we can fill it up in no time. BTW, hopefully Martie scheduled the pickup for the dumpster to be like, tomorrow, so that we don't end up with camper/residential garbage in there like last time. In the meantime, I gotta find a better solution for picking up shotshells and steel cases. Time to get creative.

I just found/joined this site today, so I'm sorry I missed the Greenwater site cleanup. My buddies & I will try to make the next one, and we are definitely responsible recreational target shooters who pack out any trash we create at such a site. We may go check this site out this coming Saturday, in addition to the Ashford/Elbe Honey Hole, just for scouting purposes as we haven't been out to a good plinking site in...probably 20 years (somewhere along the White River, I remember that much because we checked with the White River Ranger Station 1st). You folks seem pretty cool, I'm happy to have found this forum.

Also there is a cleanup planned in capital forest June 4th a little bit of a drive from Bellevue but if you're interested see the link for details http://waguns.org/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=68728 Also when you go to check out the Greenwater areas i suggest you go very early before all the undesirables show up. I've found that around 9am and after is when they start to show up.
