The Elbe Hills shooting pit is getting really bad. I am putting together a clean up and day of shooting on the 26th of September starting at 9 am. I will be bringing a BBQ grill and cooking hamburgers and hotdogs for all who come out. I am working with DNR for temp discover passes for those who do not have one. Below is a link to the FaceBook event page. It should be public so anyone can view the event info and say they are going so we have a rough idea of how many people are going. We did this once before close to the begining of the year and it was a blast, MadPick was there he can tell you. You can PM me on here or email me at brandon@bfindley.com for more info. I hope to see you there. Since the FaceBook link is not working below is the info from the FB event. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to the 2nd WA Guns & Ammo Clean and Shoot at Elbe Hills. Google Map Coordinates -46.76793, -122.0848 We will meet at 8:30 AM in Elbe in front of the trains for anyone who has not been to the shooting pit before or know where it is. Most people will lose cell and GPS service once they get to close to Elbe. The event will kick off at 9 AM. We will work to clean the shooting pit until it is clean (last time we finished before lunch.) After lunch or when the pit is clean we will spend the rest of the day shooting. I will bring a BBQ grill to cook hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone. I ask that people bring drinks (Water, soda) and sides (Chips, and other snacks) to share with everyone. I have coordinated with DNR for Temp Discovery Passes for anyone who does not have one as well as trash disposal so we don't have to pay for dump fees. Working with DNR will also give you volunteer hours towards a free Discovery Pass for the next year. (24 hours of volunteer work needed for free pass.) Make sure to dress appropriately as it can get muddy if it rains so boots, work gloves, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty are a must. Also bring any rakes, magnetic brooms, and anything else you think might make the cleanup quicker. See you there! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's the thread for our last cleanup, which includes photos and our bag count: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=52309These cleanups are a good way to meet other shooters, maybe discover a shooting spot that you don't already know about, and generally feel good about yourself. Who's in??

Looks like a great meeting spot and a fun event. One question I would have is about restroom facilities, I am guessing based on the pics, it's a "make sure to cover when done."

Hello, I'm tentative at this point. I'll be hunting for two weeks near Cle Elum. That day is the tail end of deer/elk season for bowhunting which ends 9-27-15. If by some chance I manage to bag a deer or elk before then, I'll show up. I can bring rakes, shovels, trash bags, pails. I definitely would do this. Thanks for the invite.
