For those of you who are members of RFGC (or just want to help out!), Renton Fish & Game Club is having a "work party" this Saturday. Here are the details from an e-mail they sent: Quote: Every range will have projects that need to be completed, and lunch will be provided. Come early, come late, but just come. Tools at the club are limited, if you have any please bring them. The range will be closed for shooting that day. I'm planning to be there. Anyone else?

I might be able to make it out.....cant make any promises though. Also, for members, I am the understanding that this will count towards your annual volunteer hours to get a discount on your next membership renewal

And you are correct, this counts toward the reduction in your membership fee.

It starts at 9:00 and ends at 3:00. (Well, 3:00 is what I have in my notes . . . I think that's correct.) But folks can come and go as they wish.

Well, it was cold and it was wet . . . but it felt good to get out there and do some "yardwork" to support the club. I was amazed at how many branches there were on the ground from the various evergreen trees around the action bays. Holy COW, the windstorms took their toll this year! A giant "THANK YOU" to Ugly 68, who has never even shot at Renton Fish & Game . . . but still drove down from Snohomish in the cold and the wet to help us. That was WAY above the call of duty!

Very good of you to all to do your part. Sorry I'm working this weekend and I was actually at work a few more times than I liked and it's only Saturday... Well, I'm well compensated so I really can't complain. So here's to all those that made the time to make and do this for the club! A big Thanks!

Somewhere there's an "old bolt-action rifle" pics thread that's begging for your attention. Don't worry, I'll post pics of the new gun soon enough! Hell, I'll even let you shoot it for the 1st time if you're at the range on Sunday! I'll admit, it is quite dirty, but it's only dirt. Under that grime is a real nice rifle! And the wood is good too. The Handguard is a bit "Chewed Up", but that can be fixed in a jiffy! I don't intend to "Restore" gun, just clean it up, and enjoy it!
